National Gems School was founded in 1968 by Late Ganesh Prasad Khanna with an objective to spread the light of knowledge and information to all segments of the society. His partnership together with the Late Narayan Shaw found stronger targets and milestones followed.
The Shaw Education Foundation was formed in 1993 and the journey of National Gems Higher Secondary School saw the breaking of a new dawn. It shifted to a new campus which now houses the Junior School. A phenomenal growth followed the affiliation of the school from the Council for the Indian School Certificates, New Delhi, in 1995. This necessitated a bigger space to meet the growing demand. Since then National Gems has been growing in its popularity and reputation in imparting quality education that is proved every year in its excellent results in both ICSE and ISC Examinations. The senior school campus today stands as a landmark on Diamond Harbour Road with its own games fields, a science block with state-of-the-art Physics, Chemistry and Biology labs and every other facility to make the process of learning sound and result oriented.
